Sift Kaur Samra - Bringing home gold by aiming right

The Indian team had a good haul at the International Shooting Sport Federation Junior World Cup in Germany. Sift Kaur Samra won the women’s 50M Rifle 3 Positions (3P) gold by beating Norway’s Julie Johannessen. The 20-year-old ranks 20 in the ISSF index. She was placed at 13 in the Cairo World Cup 2022. The year before, she placed six in the Lima Junior World Championship. The Punjabi athlete had earlier topped the 50-metre rifle prone event open for both men and women in the National shooting selection trials.
