The Indian government has been changing its mind several times regarding wheat exporting amid a global crisis. The Ukraine war has left the world turning to India, but the country has less yield this year due to the early onset of summer. However, farmers were ready to export wheat and make more money. The government's sudden ban on export will damage India's reputation as a credible exporter. India accounts for 13.53% of global wheat production. This also harms the welfare of farmers who can benefit financially.
