Nora Inayat-Khan was an Indian born British spy in World War II who served in the Special Operations Executive (SOE) and the first female wireless operator to be sent from the UK to help the French resistance.
She spied on the Nazis but was eventually betrayed and captured. She was executed by the Nazis at Dachau concentration camp.
Khan was awarded the George Cross for her service in the SOE, UK's highest civilian decoration.
A film about Noor Inayat Khan is made titled 'A Call to Spy' with actress Radhika Apte in the lead role.
