Jane Fraser As First Woman CEO Of Citigroup

NEW YORK, US: Citigroup has announced Jane Fraser as its next chief executive. Fraser will replace Michael Corbat who will retire and by doing so, she will make history as the first woman to lead a giant Wall Street bank.

Since 2019, she had served as president and CEO of global consumer banking and also did important roles for Citi in Latin America and in investment banking.

She expressed her gratefulness for the role and thanked Michael Corbat for his mentorship. 

She said she will work hard to make all their stakeholders proud and build a better bank and improve the returns.

Other women CEOs of major financial companies include Abigail Johnson at Fidelity Investments and Julie Sweet at Accenture.
