Hugging is not just a friendly or romantic gesture, it also has a lot of health benefits. According to science, hugging someone, especially you like, reduce stress in one's body and mind.

A study published in the journal Psychological Science revealed that hugging someone will increase the happiness hormone serotonin which is also the body's natural anti-depressant. Romantic hug will lead to an increase in the oxytocin level in the person's body.
