Is a slumber party ever complete without a movie?

The whole point of hanging out with your friends is to have fun and fill each other with positive vibes. Choosing a women-centric movie for the night is the perfect way to do that. It may not be as simple as it sounds. You don’t want to pick a movie in which a woman’s sole source of happiness is a man or good looks. If you are having a hard time choosing the right movie, we have got you covered. Here are 10 women-centric movies that are perfect for a sleepover with your besties.

1. Legally Blonde

This is a movie that shattered all stereotypes quietly. The story is about a blonde girl who goes to Harvard to win back her ex-boyfriend who broke up with her saying that she is not serious enough or smart enough for him. As it turns out, Elle Wood is way smarter and a better lawyer than her ex ever will be. She even becomes friends with the girl the guy of her dreams is dating.

To conclude, the fact that it was Elle’s interest and knowledge in the fashion industry which was deemed girly and silly that helped her win the case.

2. Frozen

Frozen became one of the most popular Disney productions. Kids were fascinated by Elsa's magical hands, and adults were impressed by Anna’s valour. It was probably the first time a Disney princess saved the queen and the kingdom. Typically, the task of saving royalty falls on the stereotyped macho shoulders of a man. Just the songs of Frozen itself will make your slumber party magical. You can sing along and scream on top of your lungs and have fun.

This movie is an all-time favourite among girl besties. And in less than two hours, we have fallen in love with every quirky, sassy, uptight, awkward girl in the gang. If you love music, there is no way you can not like this movie. The cappella group of Barden University starts off low-key but ends on a high note. Anna Kendrick’s Becca goes on a journey from a self-imposed outcast to a lovable member of the sisterhood. You may hate Anna Camp’s Aubrey in the beginning. But, by the final performance of a cappella competition, you find the reason why Brittany Snow's Chloe stands by her. If you are throwing a slumber party for your college friends, Pitch Perfect is the best choice.
