According to the latest report by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, more than one in three teenage students in America are experiencing sadness or unhappiness. Also, the mental health outcomes were more alarming among BIPOC and LGBTQ youth. US Surgeon General Vivek Murthy said that the mental and physical health of youngsters is significant for the development of the nation. As a country, everyone is responsible for taking care of every kid. One of the major issues that affect our kids is ‘Covid-19’.
“Kids do not always share that they are having a hard time or struggle. They are sensitive to stress levels and it depends on the people around them such as parents, siblings and educators. It is very important to vaccinate our children. Some of them have struggled with long covid-19 issues and hundreds of them lost their lives and thousands of them have been hospitalized. In another way, more than 160,000 youngsters have lost their caregivers or parents or dear ones due to covid -19, which led them to major traumatic problems. It was difficult for immigrant families, racial and ethnic minorities, and LGBTQ kids to access health care during the pandemic” he added.
