South Indian actor Vivek passed away at the age of 59. He was brought to SIMS Hospital at Vadapalani after fainting and suffered from a cardiac arrest.
He was resuscitated and underwent Emergency Coronary Angiogram, followed by angioplasty.
Hospital said that he was on Extra Corporeal Membrane Oxygen or ECMO support in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU).
Hospital informed that he suffered an acute coronary syndrome with cardiogenic shock but his death had nothing to do with the vaccine he took.
Tamil Nadu Health Secretary Dr Radhakrishnan told about how the late actor came forward to create awareness on public health and social issues.
After his death, tributes poured in from various sections.
