MUMBAI: Yash Raj Films (YRF) Studios started a vaccine drive for the workers of the film industry, with an aim to inoculate around 4000 workers in the first phase.
Initiated by filmmaker Aditya Chopra, with the drive, the studios hope to facilitate the resumption of day-to-day activity in the industry.
First, they inoculated the employees of the YRF studio and then the crew members.
Akshaye Widhani, Senior Vice President, Yash Raj Films, said that this drive aims at giving the daily wage earners of Hindi film industry to return to work and provide financial stability for their families.
The studio also aims at vaccinating 30,000 registered members of the FWICE (Federation of Western India Cine Employees) and jump-start the working of the industry.
