Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) chief professor Balram Bhargava said that all the necessary health protocols put in place to tackle the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) will stay even after a vaccine is available.
People will have to continue wearing masks even after getting the vaccine.
Dr Bhargava addressed a webinar hosted by Lucknow’s King George’s Medical University (KGMU).
India is making rapid progress as far as the development of COVID-19 vaccine is concerned.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited three major vaccine centres to check the progress; the Zydus Biotech Park in Ahmedabad, Bharat Biotech in Hyderabad and Serum Institute of India in Pune.
