CRPF Offers Workshops For Vulnerable Due to Rise In Suicides

Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) posted in Srinagar are undergoing a workshop designed to identify “vulnerable persons” and train them in appropriate responses to mental health issues after recording as many as 131 suicides in three years. 

With activities and needed conversations, CRPF is also working on sensitising the participants to gender issues, including “the burden of patriarchy”, so that they can connect better with their families.

28 Battalion of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) posted in Srinagar are undergoing a workshop.

Hawaldar Vinod Kumar said that he has seen women investing in business, referring to his wife who does stitching business. 

Inspector General (Srinagar sector) CRPF Charu Sinha says that when a jawan spends most of his life without his family, dysfunctionality within the family is inevitable.
