Henceforth ‘Fair & Lovely’ To Be Known As ‘Glow & Lovely’

MUMBAI: Hindustan Unilever, the Indian arm of global consumer giant Unilever, announced that they will rebrand its skin-lightening cream ‘Fair & Lovely’ to ‘Glow & Lovely,’ after facing a backlash that the name promoted racism. 

HUL added that the skin cream for men will be called ‘Glow & Handsome.'

The maker of Lipton Tea and Dove soap also announced that it would drop words such as “fair,” “fairness,” “white,”, “whitening” from its marketing to promote inclusion and diversity.
