Farmers Reject Govt Proposal To Stay Farm Laws for 1.5 Years

Farmers have rejected the Union government’s proposal to stay the implementation of the three controversial legislations for one-and-a-half years.

The farmers’ groups, who have been protesting against the three agricultural reform laws, reiterated their demand for a full repeal of the three laws.

Umbrella organisation of protesting farmers, Samyukt Kisan Morcha, also said the tractor protest on Republic Day would go on as planned.

SKM said in their statement that 143 farmers became martyrs during this movement and their sacrifices will go in vain unless the farm laws are fully repealed.
