Nobel Prize 2020: Louise Glück Wins Literature, Andrea Mia Ghez Wins Physics

American poet Louise Glück was awarded the Nobel Prize in Literature for 2020 for her poetic voice, making her the 16th woman to win the Nobel Prize in Literature.

 American astronomer Andrea Mia Ghez was awarded the 2020 Nobel Prize in physics. She is also a professor in the Department of Physics and Astronomy at UCLA.

Through this process, she became the fourth woman to be awarded the Nobel Prize in Physics and is also a fellow of the American Physical Society.

She has been elected as a legacy Fellow of the American Astronomical Society.

She won the prize for her work in the discovery of a supermassive compact object or black hole at the centre of our galaxy, Milky Way.
