NEW DELHI: Prime Minister Narendra Modi hailed the various roles done and achieved by the nation's daughters in various fields on the occasion of National Girl Child Day. 

He added that the centre has undertaken initiatives for empowering the girl child including access to education, better healthcare and improved gender sensitivity.
