Bollywood actress Richa Chadha's next film 'Madam Chief Minister' was shot in a 40-day schedule. The film is journalist Subhash Kapoor's directorial venture and was shot in Lucknow in November and December in a start-to-finish schedule.
The director said that Chaddha is a perfect choice because she is socially aware and articulate.
'Madam Chief Minister is scheduled to be released on July 17th this year.
Richa is known for playing powerful women on-screen in films such as 'Goliyon ki Raasleela: Ram Leela', 'Masaan', 'Gangs of Wasseypur' and 'Section 375: Marzi Ya Zabardasti'.
Richa is known for her leftist views and is critical of the ruling prime minister Narendra Modi. She was last seen in Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari’s 'Panga' with Kangana Ranaut in the lead role.
Kangana and Richa have polar opposite political views as Kangana are right-wing and supporter of Modi. Richa said that they have had a very cordial and professional relationship and their political views did not come as an obstacle.
