NEW DELHI: Congress MP Shashi Tharoor took to social media to denounce all the hatred expressed towards Kashmiri Muslims after the film 'The Kashmir Files' was released.
This post largely has it right: Kashmiri Pandits suffered terribly. We must stand up for their rights. But demonising Kashmiri Muslims doesn't help the Pandits either. Hatred divides & kills. Kashmiris need justice. All need to be heard, helped & healed.https://t.co/iui4BX7IcJ

"Hatred divides and kills. Kashmiris need justice. All need to be heard, helped and healed," he tweeted.
'The Kashmir Files' is directed by Vivek Agnihotri with Anupam Kher and Mithun Chakraborthy playing major roles.
It has grossed over 150 crores at the box office, becoming the most successful film of the year.
Several politicians endorsed the film, notably Prime Minister Narendra Modi who praised the makers for bold storytelling.
The film covers the exodus of Kashmiri Pandits during 1990s due to radical Islamist militants.
The film garnered flak for miscontruing of facts and for disregarding the role of Muslims in saving the Pandits.
