India Administers 76,58,203 vaccines In 24 Hours

The Union Health Ministry, on Wednesday, said that India has administered 76,58,203 COVID-19 vaccine doses in the last 24 hours. The country’s COVID-19 vaccination coverage has now exceeded 118.44 crores.

"With the administration of 76,58,203 vaccine doses in the last 24 hours, India's COVID-19 vaccination coverage has exceeded 1,18,44,23,573 as per provisional reports till 7 am today. This has been achieved through 1,22,71,257 sessions," said the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare in a statement.

According to the health ministry, 44,66,37,552 vaccine doses were given as the first dose and 19,89,48,841 vaccine doses were given as the second dose in the age group 18-44 years.

In the 45-59 years age groups, 18,17,64,052 people received the first dose and 11,33,02,934 got the second dose.

On Wednesday, India reported 9,283 new cases of COVID-19 in the last 24 hours.
