Women Can Run Businesses Too: Navya Naveli

NEW DELHI: Navya Naveli Nanda responded to a social media user who suggested that she should try Bollywood because she is beautiful, by saying that women can run businesses too.

Navya Naveli Nanda is an entrepreneur, who is a co-founder of Aara Health and the NGO Project Naveli.

She graduated from New York's Fordham University in 2020.

With Mallika Sahney, she started an online healthcare portal called Aara Health. It is an initiative dedicated to raising awareness about women's health.

At the time of launch, Navya described the platform as a space that aims to empower, educate and diagnose women's health "in a confidential, safe, and reliable manner."

Her NGO, Project Naveli aims to empower women by addressing the issue of gender inequality in the country. 

She is the granddaughter of Bollywood icons Amitabh Bachchan and Jaya Bachchan. Her parents are Shwetha Bachchan and Nikhil Nanda.
