NEW DELHI: No government approval has been given to the Patanjali products in terms of its ability to cure Coronavirus induced conditions.

The Ministry of Ayush ordered Patanjali to stop publicising claims of COVID-19 curing abilities of their medicines 'CORONIL' and 'SWASARI VAT.'

The Uttarakhand government said its licencing authority did not grant any approval to the Corona Kit launched by Patanjali founder Baba Ramdev.

Rajasthan government said that they did not know anything about clinical trials at the National Institute of Medical Sciences and Research (NIMS).

As per reports, the medicines were given to those with mild symptoms of COVID-19 or asymptomatic and when they continued showing the symptoms, they were given allopathic medicines.

People suffering from severe health conditions were excluded from trials.

Dr. Ganpat Devpura, professor of medicine at the National Institute of Medical Sciences (NIMS) in Jaipur, said that they have collected the interim report and will eventually send the final report.

He added that so far, it is wrong to say that Patanjali products have the ability to cure Coronavirus disease.

Doctors continuously measure inflammatory markers to monitor the severity of the infection, reports said that in the latter case, allopathic medicines were given to treat the patients.
