NEW DELHI: Supreme Court issued a notice to popular communication media WhatsApp over the new privacy policy.

SC also issued a notice to the central government, seeking responses from within four weeks on a fresh plea alleging lower standards of privacy for people in India when compared to Europe.

Supreme Court said to WhatsApp that people's right to privacy is more important than money, in response to a petition against WhatsApp's new privacy policy in India.

An interim application filed by Karmanya Singh Sareen. SC bench headed by Chief Justice S A Bobde, said that people are concerned about their privacy.
