NEW DELHI: India is among the 11 countries identified by United States intelligence agencies as ‘countries of concern’ with regard to climate change and related issues.
Along with India, these nations are believed to be vulnerable in terms of its ability to prepare for and respond to environmental crises caused by climate change, according to the National Intelligence Estimate report of the National Intelligence Council, the office of the director of national intelligence (ODNI).
US's National Intelligence Estimate report has been released ahead of the 26th United Nations Climate Change Conference of the Parties (COP26) in Glasgow.
One of the major crises India face is related to water and drought issues.
India and China also face severity of temperature rise as a result of climate change.
