COVID Updates: Cases Shrinking In Delhi, WHO Calls COVID-19 "A Big Wave"

NEW DELHI: The total number of cases is almost touching 15 lakhs and with 47,703 cases reported in a single day, there are 14,83,156 cases in the country. 

In India, there are 4,96,988 active cases, 9,52,743 people have recovered and 33,425 people died. 

The World Health Organization official described the COVID-19 pandemic as “one big wave."

The number of COVID-19 cases is decreasing in Delhi. Arvind Kejriwal led government was pulled up by the Delhi High Court for making Rapid Antigen Test the primary test for COVID-19. 

RT-PCR gives a positive result only if the virus is present in the blood whereas the Rapid Antigen Test can zero in only on people who contracted the disease at least a fortnight ago.

In Mumbai, the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation's (BMC) survey revealed a total of 57% individuals from slums and 16% from other residential areas in three wards were exposed to Sars-CoV-2 and recovered silently owing to the antibodies.
