COVID-19: India Sees Decline In Daily Cases, 63% Parents Want Kids Vaccinated

NEW DELHI: India has reported 28,591 cases of COVID-19 in 24 hours and 338 deaths due to the disease, seeing a downward trend. 

There are 3,32,36,921 cases of COVID-19 in India and out of that, 3,84,921 are active cases, 3,24,09,345 people recovered and 4,42,655 people died. 

Union ministry of health and family welfare (MoHFW) reported has revealed that the fatality rate stood at 1.33% and daily positivity rate was recorded at 2.1%. 

MoHFW added that over 720 million COVID-19 vaccine doses have been provided to states and Union territories so far through the Centre's free-of-cost channel.

63% of the parents want their children to get inoculated against the novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19) when a vaccination drive for children is launched, according to a recent survey conducted by the Community Medicine department of New Delhi-based Vardhaman Mahavir College & Safdarjung Hospital.

Healthcare workers, professionals, homemakers, and students were also surveyed with major questions regarding the vaccination drive, and findings were published in the Journal of Family Medicine and Family Healthcare.
