COVID-19 Vaccine Registration For Children Between 15-18 Begins

NEW DELHI: Registration for COVID-19 vaccination for children between 15 and 18 years has been going on, as announced by prime minister Narendra Modi last year.
Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya appealed to parents to register their eligible children, saying that proper vaccination will ensure that their future is safe.
So far, there have been 3,15,416 registrations for this vaccine. The vaccination process will begin on January 3rd.
Union Health Ministry has announced that Bharat Biotech’s Covaxin will be the one that will be administered. Adults have been given the Covishield vaccine.
Eligible children should register on the Cowin portal and can use their student identity card while getting the vaccine.

Amidst concerns related to the Omicron outbreak, Prime Minister Narendra Modi also announced COVID-19 booster dose for the elderly population.
Healthcare workers and other frontline workers have been given the booster doses.
