A lot of women have complained about their inability to produce enough breast milk after giving birth. Lactation expert Archana Wadkar explained why this happens.

Women who experience stress might find it difficult to produce breast milk as stress itself hampers the ability to produce milk.

Milk production is affected by other factors such as insufficient glandular tissue and hormonal problems as a result of PCOS, diabetes, or low or high thyroid. Hormonal changes are also triggered by the intake of oral contraceptives or medications taken after C-section.
