NEW DELHI: An FIR has been lodged against 'Mojo Story', a digital news platform led by journalist Barkha Dutt, by the Unnao police over the coverage of the three Dalit girls' poisoning.
Dutt reported that the police had tried to rush the girls' funeral, like how it was seen in Hathras' victim's case.
Unnao police claimed that they had not rushed to perform the last rites of the two deceased girls in spite of objections from the girls’ families.

Police added charges of spreading false information that could incite violence because several users had mentioned that the girls were raped.
Mojo Story has called it “a blatant case of harassment and intimidation" and that they will fight the case in court.
Reporters on the ground were told by the girl’s families that there were indeed failed attempts by the police to perform the last rites.
The police denial on attempting an early cremation was reported prominently & we removed a tweet after their statement. However, on the ground, when we spoke to the girls' families, they still say the police wanted an early cremation. This is what we were told. pic.twitter.com/J7UOkSOJeC

Three Dalit girls were found tied in a field by their families. Two died while the third was struggling for her life.
As per Unnao police, they were poisoned by a man whose advances were rejected by one of the girls.
