MUMBAI: Businessman Raj Kundra has been arrested along with 11 other people for their alleged involvement in creating porn.
Mumbai police said that the 45-year-old and 11 others allegedly created pornographic films and published them through apps.
They have been booked under the relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and the Information Technology Act; sections 420 (cheating), 34 (common intention), 292 and 293 (related to obscene and indecent advertisements and displays) of IPC and the Indecent Representation of Women (Prohibition) Act.
Mumbai police commissioner said that they have enough evidence against Kudnra and his involvement as a key conspirator in this case.
Woman approached the Mumbai Police against the businessman and reported that he was involved in luring young women and men on the pretext of offering roles into web series. Instead, they were coerced into doing porn content.
Police took in director Rowa Khan, photographer Monu Sharma, creative director Pratibha Nalawade and two actors, Arish Shaikh and Bhanu Thakur.
Raj Kundra is married to Bollywood actress Shilpa Shetty.
