New Developments In 2017 Actress Assault Case: Suvivor Writes To CM Seeking Justice

KOCHI: New witness in the actress assault case has served as a massive twist to the proceedings.
Witness Balachandrakumar, a filmmaker, who is allegedly a friend of Dileep, one of the accused in the case, came forward to speak to the media.
Balachandrakumar alleged fear for his life and safety. He said that Dileep knew the primary accused of the case Pulsar Suni and also saw the visuals of the assault which was caught on camera.
He also wrote to the chief minister of Kerala but his complaint is yet to be forwarded.
Actress who was sexually assaulted in February 2017 in Kerala, has written to Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan, conveying her anguish.
Special Public Prosecutor, VN Anilkumar, resigned last week. Special Public Prosecutor A Suresan had quit in November 2020 and alleged that CBI special court Judge Honey Verghese was biased in his approach.
Actress wrote to the CM seeking justice against the assault done to her.
She also wants allegations raised by Balachandra Kumar to be investigated.
Dileep, on the other hand, has written to the Director-General of Police not to investigate the case.

In 2017, an actress was kidnapped and harassed in a moving car. Later, investigations revealed that actor Dileep is the alleged mastermind because he blamed the actress for breaking his marriage. Dileep was arrested after months of investigations. He got bail after it was rejected three times. Dileep maintained his innocence and also has support from some of his industry colleagues.
