Actress Deepika Padukone revealed that she was depressed while shooting her upcoming film 'Chhapaak'. She said that it came up out of nowhere and she was caught off guard.
In an interview with journalist Rajeev Masand, Deepika said that her counselor was on the sets to advise her. She felt very tired and claustrophobic during the process of making the film.
She was preparing for the film even before her wedding with actor Ranveer Singh in 2018 and tried on different looks.
Deepika had previously said that doing the film 'Chhapaak' was an emotionally draining experience and at the end of the shoot, she burnt the piece of prosthetic.
The film is directed by Meghna Gulzar and is based on the acid attack survivor Laxmi Agarwal's life.
Deepika plays Malti, who fights for justice and the future after she was attacked with acid. Vikrant Massey plays her love interest in the film.
