Flix News: Arjun Kapoor & Malaika COVID+, Kavita Reddy Apologises To Samyukta, B'wood Condemns Media

mMUMBAI: Bollywood actor Arjun Kapoor and Malaika Arora tested positive for the novel Coronavirus disease (COVID-19). Kapoor took to Instagram to confirm his diagnosis and assured that he is asymptomatic and ok. Arora's sister Amrita Arora confirmed her diagnosis.

Congress member from Karnataka Kavitha Reddy released an apology to Samyukta Hedge for moral policing in the park after much outrage. Reddy confronted her for wearing 'revealing clothes' which was a sports bra Hedge had while working out. Reddy was heard slut-shaming Hedge in the viral video. 

Reddy said in her statement that she always opposed moral policing.

The incident happened at a public park near the Agara lake in Bengaluru where the actor and her two friends were practising hula hoops. Hedge said in her video that police were siding with Reddy and simply asked them to be quiet.

A video of actress Rhea Chakraborthy being hounded by the media on her way for questioning became viral and the Bollywood fraternity condemned this attitude by the media. Chakraborthy is one of the alleged accused in the suicide of Sushant Singh Rajput and has been facing trial by media for weeks. 

Actress Taapsee Pannu, Vidya Balan, Dia Mirza, Swara Bhaskar, Richa Chadha, and journalists including Shekhar Gupta condemned this attitude by the media. 

Filmmaker Sandip Ssingh, who is also facing heat for Rajput suicide, said that he shouldn’t have stood by his family after the actor’s death on June 14.
