She was invited for a baby shower by her father (Prakash Raj) at his home, only to face his casteist and misogynist wrath.

She said that she has experienced casteist issues herself because when women marry outside their caste, they are looked down upon by other people and their parents face that pressure.

Sai Pallavi slammed the patriarchal notion that women's identity is limited to being a daughter and wife, saying that it is just sad.

She added that women face worse wrath for marrying outside the caste because she is expected to take her husband's identity and completely move in with him.
