Priyanka Chopra's Name Submitted To Award Season

Bollywood actress Priyanka Chopra expressed her excitement after her name was submitted for this year's award season for her performance in 'White Tiger.' 

Her name was submitted for Best Actress in a Supporting Role while her co-star Rajkummar Rao's name was submitted in Best Actor in a Supporting Role category.

The film was released in select theatres in the US and will start streaming on Netflix on January 22. So far it received positive reviews.

Tanushree Calls #MeToo Clarion Call For Wounded Souls

Bollywood actress Tanushree Dutta described the #MeToo movement as a march of justice and retribution for many neglected victims, "giving anybody and everybody an opportunity to speak up."

She kickstarted the movement in India in 2018 after she spoke about the harassment she faced at the hands of Bollywood actor Nana Patekar on a movie set in 2008.

She also filed a complaint against actor Nana Patekar in which she accused him of harassing and misbehaving with her.

After that several mainstream stars were called out including the likes of MJ Akbar, Alok Nath, Anu Malik, etc. 

#MeToo movement was kickstarted in Hollywood, where multiple women called out Hollywood mogul Harvey Weinstein for harassment. 


Big B Believes Indian Men's Cricketer Team Can Form Women's Squad

Bollywood actor Amitabh Bachchan shared a quirky post where he suggested that the Indian men's team can form their women's cricketer team.

He pointed out that the majority of men in blue have daughters, after the recent birth of Virat Kohli's daughter. 

Other players, Suresh Raina, Gautham Gambhir, MS Dhoni, Harbhajan Singh, etc all have daughters. 

Amitabh Bachchan was an active member of 'save the girl child' campaign.
