Johnny Depp To Get Paid For 'Fantastic Beasts 3' Despite Departure
Hollywood actor Johnny Depp will get paid fully for his role in 'Fantastic Beasts 3' despite his recent departure.
After losing his libel case against 'The Sun', Johnny Depp announced his decision to resign from the 'Fantastic Beasts' films as per the request from Warner Bros.
He will be paid because the shooting for the film began on September 20 during his trial in the United Kingdom.
There was no morality clause in Depp's contract which waives the fee, therefore the studio is obliged to pay him.
The next 'Fantastic Beasts' film will be released in 2022, written by JK Rowling and directed by David Yates.
'Harry Potter' fans have been calling for his resignation since he was accused of domestic violence by ex-wife Amber Heard.
However, there are bigger calls for the ending of the series because of the actor Ezra Miller's assault case and JK Rowling's transphobic views.
Added to that, fans argued that the series itself lost its attraction due to the plot points and departure from the HP timeline.
