MUMBAI: Bollywood actress Hina Khan praised fashion designer Saisha Shinde for coming out as a transwoman. 

She wrote, "Identity can originate on the basis of gender but to identify with it, one has to be soulfully connected to it."

Hina Khan starred in the Bollywood film 'Hacked' where she played a woman who is the victim of revenge porn and blackmailing. 

Hina Khan recently won the prestigious Montgomery International Film Festival, USA as Best Actress (Feature Film) for her performance in 'Lines.'
