Indian films to be screened at Cannes Film Festival 2022

The 75th Cannes Film Festival 2022 begins on May 17. Six Indian language films are going to screen at Cannes 2022. ‘Rocketry - The Nambi Effect’ is written, directed and produced by R Madhavan. It is  Madhavan’s maiden directorial venture based on the true story of rocket scientist Nambi Narayanan. The movie will release in three languages, Hindi, English and Tamil and will release in theatres on July 1. Jayaraj’s ‘Tree full of Parrots’ is a Malayalam movie that tells the story of an eight-year-old boy, Poonjan. ‘Godavari’ is a Marathi movie, directed by Nikhil Mahajan. The movie tells the story of a family dealing with two different kinds of deaths.

The Hindi movie ‘Alpha Beta Gama’ is directed by Shankar Srikumar. The movie tells the story of a director’s struggling career and personal issues. Biswajit Bora’s Assamese movie ‘Boomba Ride’ is a humorous movie narrating the functioning rural school system of India. The movie is based on a true story and was shot on the banks of the Brahmaputra River. Achal Mishra’s 'Dhuin' is telling the story of a small-town theatre actor in Mumbai with big dreams. He is struggling with usual family issues and financial troubles.
