BATHINDA, PUNJAB: Mahinder Kaur, who played a crucial role in the farmers' protest, filed a complaint against actress Kangana Ranaut for misidentifying her as "Shaheen Bagh dadi" Bilkis Bano. 

Her counsel Ragbir Singh said a complaint has been filed under IPC sections 499 (defamation) and 500 (punishment for defamation).

Ranaut had posted a photo of Kaur saying that she is Bilkis Bano and that she is "available" to protest against the ruling government for money. 

After the outrage, she deleted the Tweet but continued to speak against the farmers' protests. 

73-year-old woman farmer from Punjab said the actor made false imputations and remarks against her, resulting in her suffering from grave mental tension, agony, harassment, humiliation, loss of reputation, and defamation in the eyes of her family.
