LOS ANGELES, US: Pop star Taylor Swift delivered a powerful speech after winning the Global Icon award at the BRIT Awards this year.

Speaking to new and aspiring artists, she said that if they face resistance in their way, it means that they are doing something.

If they are experiencing pressure or turbulence in their career, it means that they are doing something right.

“A lot of people watching who have goals and ambitions and dreams for themselves. I need you to hear me when I say there is no career path that comes free of negativity,” she said.

She wants the new artists not to let the challenges or negativity crush them.

"We live in a world where anyone has the right to say anything that they want about you at any time. You have the right to prove them wrong," she added.

Taylor is currently re-recording her albums that were sold to Big Machine Records. She released both ‘Fearless’ and ‘Red.’

She will release ‘1989’ and ‘Reputation.’ She also released her own albums ‘Lover,’ ‘Folklore’ and ‘Evermore.’
