Dr Kamna Chhibber, a psychologist working in Fortis Memorial Research Institute, Gurugram, shared relationship advice that people must never follow.
Dr Chhibber said that people tend to be told that they should always maintain their stand but it is more important to communicate and solve whatever dispute there is with the partner.
Partners should not dominate each other, as opposed to what is told by their family or peers. Instead, they should be mutually understanding.
Partners are also told not to compromise but for the sake of health, one person should compromise if that is what is the best for both of them but it should be done with mutual understanding.
Always resolve conflicts as opposed to keeping what is bothering you in your mind.
