WASHINGTON, US: The US officials said that the India-China border tensions should not escalate and the US wants to help ensure that it is solved.
Trump administration officials said the United States is watching the India-China standoff in Ladakh closely and is sharing important information with New Delhi.
The US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo and the US Secretary of Defence Mark Esper will be making an important visit soon.
To counter the Chinese aggression, the US is working closely with like-minded partners, the US said it welcomes increased Indian involvement in Southeast Asia including its military presence in the South China Sea.
The officials also are pleased with India's recent announcement regarding Australia joining the Malabar Naval exercise.
Next month, along with the US, Japan, and Australia, India will hold the high-level Malabar naval exercises.
In June, this year, Indian and Chinese soldiers in Ladakh left as many as Indian 20 soldiers dead.
India said that they are prepared in case a war breaks out after the Chinese President Xi asked the People's Liberation Army to be ready.
