MUMBAI, MAHARASHTRA: Maharashtra minister Nawab Malik has leveled a series of charges against the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) zonal director Sameer Wankhade amidst the probe on drugs on cruise case.

Shah Rukh Khan's son Aryan is one of the people arrested in connection with the case and the high court is hearing his bail plea.

Minister alleged that Sameer Wankhede framed innocent people in 26 fake drug cases as per an anonymous letter he received.

Wankhede engaged two private persons to tap the phones of the people.

Nawab Malik claimed Sameer Wankhede made a Hindu caste certificate by forgery to get into the Indian Revenue Service under the scheduled caste category and tweeted a copy of a birth certificate.

NCB started investigating claims that this was a Rs 25 crore extortion racket after the arrest. One of the NCB’s witnesses in the case, Prabhakar Sali, made the claim.
