COVID Updates: Recovered Patients Experiencing Respiratory Illness

NEW DELHI: After reporting over 56,282 in 24 hours, the total number of COVID-19 cases in India have been pushed to 19,64,536.

There are 5,95,501 active cases of the disease, 13,28,336 people recovered and 40,699 people died. 

India has the third-highest number of COVID-19 cases, after the US and Brazil.

Congress leader Rahul Gandhi attacked the Centre as India became the third country in the world.

Several healthcare officials have reported that people who have recovered from the illness are also showing symptoms like respiratory illness. 

When it comes to the number of cases, 38% of new cases have come from five states, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Uttar Pradesh, West Bengal, and Bihar. 

Telangana state has reported 2,092 more new COVID-19 cases across.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, Uber Technologies Inc more than doubled their orders from the company’s food-delivery service in the second quarter.

Globally, there are 1,90,88,118 cases of COVID-19 and out of that, 68,27,968 are active cases, 1,15,45,419 people have recovered and 7,14,731 people died. 

In Pakistan, Asad Umar, minister for planning, announced that the country will ease several restrictions which were put in place five months ago due to lessening of the number of cases. 

The US has the highest number of COVId cases.

The United States lifted a “Do Not Travel” Global Health Advisory for Americans but retained it for India due to the high number of cases.

World Health Organization (WHO) has warned against “vaccine nationalism”, cautioning richer countries saying that they will not be safe if poor nations are vulnerable.
