NEW DELHI: Prime Minister Narendra Modi remembered the exceptional achievement, the nuclear tests held in 1998 at Pokhran on national technology day and called it a "landmark moment in India's history."
He applauded all those who have worked and used technology that enhanced people's quality of life.

PM Modi also applauded then Prime Minister, late Atal Bihari Vajpayee, for his leadership and under him, the nuclear tests were conducted.
Pokhran-II nuclear tests were a series of five nuclear explosions conducted by India in May 1998 as part of the defense.
The tests were conducted at the Indian Army's Pokhran Test Range located in Rajasthan.
