NEW DELHI: The supreme court has four women judges which are also the highest ever number so far. Three women have been inducted along with six men.

Justice Indira Banerjee, Justice B V Nagarathna, Justice Hima Kohli, and Justice Bela M Trivedi are the sitting women judges of the apex court.
Nine new judges took the oath as Supreme Court judges on September 1st.
Before them, Justices R Banumathi, Indira Banerjee, and Indu Malhotra were sitting judges from August 2018 to May 2020.
Supreme Court is also set to get its first woman Chief Justice in Justice Nagarathna as per developments.
Supreme Court now has 33 judges, including the Chief Justice. Male judges who took oath today are; Justice Abhay Shreeniwas Oka, Justice Vikram Nath, Justice Jitendra Kumar Maheshwari, Justice C T Ravikumar, Justice M M Sundresh, and Justice P S Narasimha.
In a press release, officials revealed that this is the first time nine judges will be taking the oath of office in one go, in the history of the Supreme Court.
