BENGALURU: Dr Asmia Banu is the nodal officer working in  Trauma and Emergency Care Centre at Victoria Hospital in Bengaluru, Karnataka.

She is working beyond her duties to take care of people who are infected with the deadly novel Coronavirus disease.

Dr Asima said that part of her job is to make sure that the patients are happy and satisfied until they fully recover from the disease.

She said that once the patients are tested positive, their primary and secondary contacts are also tested and quarantined.

They don't bring essential items like clothes and stuff needed daily, so it is provided by them.

If some patients don't want to wear the hospital garments, then Dr Asima gets them fresh and unused clothes from her home. Her son helps her get the essentials that are needed.

When five COVID-19 positive children were admitted to the hospital then she got cakes and chocolates through Swiggy.

She created a WhatsApp group for the patients so that they can talk to her if they need anything. The patients have never seen but they know that she will help in getting whatever they want.
