Said No To Social Media Accounts: Srushti Deshmukh, UPSC Topper Among Women

NEW DELHI: Srushti Jayant Deshmukh of Bhopal, the fifth rank winner in the Civil Services exam 2018 said that she deleted all of her social media accounts for preparing the examinations. She is the topper among the women candidates.

"Though I went to coaching classes for the exam, I never relied on them solely," she said. "I used to study 6-7 hours a day and took online test series for the exam. I relied on online study material for the exam, she added.

While talking about her success secret, she said that from the childhood itself, she desired to be an administrative officer, and so she always kept herself updated with newspapers and magazine.

Srushti is a chemical engineering graduate from the Rajiv Gandhi Prodyogiki Vishwavidyalaya in 2018. Her father, also an engineer asked her to join an engineering course while the preparation of IAS for the sake of job security.

The topper among 182 women candidates gave the whole credits of her success to parents for their guidance. She practices Yoga and meditation daily.

“It is consistency in studies and faith in oneself that helps one achieves one’s goals”, said Srushti. She cleared the UPSC examination in the first attempt itself.

Kanishak Kataria, an IIT Bombay graduate was the one who topped the Civil Services Exam 2018. His tweet is trending on social media for thanking girlfriend.
