UP Acid Attack Survivor Joins Police Service

The 22-year-old was brutally attacked with acid by her distant relative in 2019 but that didn't stop her from pursuing her dreams.

She joined the police and has been posted in a police station in east Uttar Pradesh.

Speaking to the media anonymously, she said that as long as there are passion and will, women can do anything.

Her attacker has been handed life imprisonment for attacking her which left her neck, chest and elbow scarred.

She was attacked on her way to the coaching centre by her relative for turning down his marriage proposal.

Deputy Superintendent of Police Vineet Singh said that most of such acid attacks are a result of an inability to handle rejection.

Cosmonaut Anna Kikina Inspires Barbie Dolls

The barbie cosmonaut is part of a campaign called ‘You can be whoever you want’ and launched on the occasion of the 60th anniversary of the Soviet launch of the person into space.
