Advocate and CPI(M) member U Prathibha Hari said that it is important to empower women because only then the society, collectively, will be happy.
She had created history in the Kayamkulam constituency by winning by more than 11,800 votes in the Assembly elections.
She was Alappuzha District Panchayat President during 2010-2015, and the president of Thakazhy Grama Panchayat during 2005-2010 and is currently the Left Democratic Front (LDF) candidate from Kayamkulam.
She had helped in providing the chief minister's disaster relief fund and the Private Member’s Bill for the welfare of widows in the Assembly.
She said that her focus will be on women empowerment and her dream project is to provide rehabilitation of underprivileged widows in her constituency, including their mental, physical and economic upliftment.
