THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: FEFKA released two short films to spread awareness regarding violence against women and social evils like the dowry system.

Film Employees Federation of Kerala (FEFKA) made these films in association with Indian ad filmmakers.

The short film features Sreekanth Murali, Manju Warrier, and Esther Anil in lead roles.

A film shows a girl (Esther Anil) and her father (Sreekanth Murali) hearing their neighbour beat up his wife over dowry.

Girl's father closes the curtains and suggests that they ignore it. Girl, on the other hand, calls the man and asks him to stop to avoid consequences.

Manju Warrier then narrates that giving and demanding dowry is a punishable offense.

"This is not old Kerala. No woman is alone here," said Manju in the film.

Mohanlal, Prithviraj Sukumaran, and Dulquer Salmaan, Health Minister Veena George shared the one-and-a-half minute film on Facebook.
