COVID Outbreak: FIFA Postpones U-17 Women's World Cup In India

The International Federation of Association Football (FIFA) postponed FIFA Under-17 Women's World Cup which was set to be held in India in November. This decision was taken by the football's governing body due to the worsening novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic across the globe where the number of infected crossed one million.

The FIFA Under-17 Women's World Cup was set to be conducted in Kolkata, Guwahati, Bhubaneswar, Ahmedabad and Navi Mumbai -- from November 2-21 this year. 

The World Cup was set to be India's maiden appearance in the U-17 Women's World Cup tournament.
